Martinique time difference

  • In summer, daylight saving time applies in mainland France - in 2023, from Sunday March 26 to Sunday October 29 - the Martinique - Paris time difference changes to 6 hours (UTC+2).

Set the clocks straight!

The European Commission had organized a public consultation in 2018, proposing to put an end to the change of time.

It was a question of dividing the time of the various countries of Europe into four "geographically correct" time zones, based on the current winter time. Benelux, Spain, France and the United Kingdom would be placed in the same time zone, that of Western Europe.

Although having obtained the support of the European Parliament in 2019, this project is still not a reality in the EU. This is a "case to follow"!
